Maurie's wagon

The wagon had a bit of a long overdue wash yesterday.
Before it gets tucked away in the back of the new shed we thought it a good time to take some photo's.
Goodness knows when we would find the time to start stripping it down. I know Maurie dearly would love to see it restored and has said he will pay. Somehow though I don't think he realises just what an expensive job it will be.

The is so much of his family history attached to it as it was an everyday working item that they used to cart the cream/butter etc off in when they lived up on the plateau. It was even in an accident and had to be repaired after it slipped off the track. The horses had to be cut free of it.

Summer seems fine today. No sign of soreness anywhere. She is like a cat with 9 lives.

I am going to try a "Blocker Tie Up" ring after asking for some advice. When I watched the video on it, the guy who invented it described Summer and her insecurities quite well. It has to be worth a try.
