And now I can tell

A while back I wrote a bit about a wee project we had started.

Back in the winter, after some research, we went and visited a Peruvian Paso stallion to view his offspring.

I rode the stallion who really does have the most, amazing smooth and fast movement. It's like nothing I have ever ridden before.
His temperament won us over and we decided that we might like to breed a mare to him.

Enter Lucky (Luck Dragon) who was on offer.

Lucky is a good Kiwi X bred being a mix of Connemara, Appaloosa and of course Thoroughbred.
She was show jumped but has a niggly shoulder injury that restricts her to light work.

She has had one foal already, to the stunning "Coalman's Touch" who just happens to be owned by the father of the person who owns Lucky.

Lucky was scanned in foal earlier this week, and is home now to cook her foal.

We also had the opportunity to use another very nice mare who is a very experienced trekking and endurance horse. She suffered a nasty stifle kick and is not coming sound. Hopefully with the time off she will recover fully for her owner.
I will get some nice photos of her when she comes home. Missy is a lovely grey & white pinto mare, by a son of Zabalu (Aberlou), called Sunshine Zibado.

She is taking a bit longer to conceive but good things take time.
