I have been hard feeding Gus twice a day just to get him back up to a decent weight before winter really hits.
Its funny how you get sucked into things and don't realise something is wrong till it gets better.
I hadn't noticed how tired (can't think of a better word right now) he was looking till he came roaring down the paddock for his dinner last night. It was one of those "wow, he hasn't done that in a while" moments.
And again this morning. I couldn't see them anywhere so gave a bit of call and there was Gussy popping over the hill and making sure he was first home.
So things are looking up again. He is even back to pulling faces at the other ponies who enviously watch him scoffing his food from the other side of the fence.
Possibly the infection he had knocked him more than we had realised. Whatever it was its great to have him back!
