Kaiteriteri (aka, Jerry Jones, aka Jerry Can, aka The Roany Pony) finally had a saddle on today!
He has taken a long time to get up to a decent weight since arriving from the Sth Island and now we think he is finally at the stage where he can learn to be a riding horse.
Kai is our Blue roan Standardbred, who was bought to be Charlies trekking horse.
Saddle, bridle, all no problem so I attached some long driving reins to test the brakes and steering gear. Steering is mostly good but the brakes need some work especially when facing home so I guess thats what we will be working on before too much riding happens!
