New people from along the road came riding yesterday on their beautifully trained quarterhorses. They are an absolute pleasure to watch, even doing the simplest of things.

Today Gus and I went to Te Akau again to Karen's. Jonty is going so very well.

Poor Gus has had 3 days riding in a row now but he is coping well. Gilleen called in to see him too this afternoon and was really happy that he totally ignored her and just wanted to get back out to the grass! I don't know what I would have done if he had tried to crawl in her pocket so I think we were both relieved that he is obviously quite happy and settled here.
